Day 34
J.W. & Mary Jo Hurdle (#14)

Our main outing of the day started out at 9:00 a.m. with a share-drive trip to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. The center offered a unique experience for us to learn and explore the traditional and contemporary ways of the Alaska Native cultures. It consisted of the inside Welcome House with demonstrations of Native dancing, drumming and games and a guided tour of the outside Village Sites.

After our visit to the Heritage Center, some chose to go back to downtown Anchorage to tour the city or shop for souvenirs, while others chose to go golfing.  There were also some who took the free time to have their motorhomes repaired or get their toad vehicles clean again.  With our truck finally clean, why were we not surprised when the rains started once again.  So much for a clean toad.

An optional outing on Monday night was the Whale Fat Follies.  Those that went said that they enjoyed the show and called it "very entertaining."

With a good day behind us, we settled in to prepare for an early day of travel to Homer.
